Plant Enamel pins

Enamel pins are a fun and affordable way to customize your outfits and apparel to your personal style. There are many amazing designers and artists out there. Some of my favorites are:

web camera cover

Working from home and finding yourself in Zoom meetings all the time? Want to make sure that your webcam is off and your coworkers (or hackers) aren’t watching you pick your nose? These adorable, plant-themed webcam sliding covers are the answer!

They don’t look like much, but they are super functional, cheap, and easy to use. Just stick them over your webcam lens and swipe right or left to expose or block the camera. After using these, you’ll never go back to using masking tape or Post-It notes!

plant hangers

When you’ve filled up all of the horizontal space in your home with plants, where do you go next? Vertically, of course! Plant hangers come in many colors, lengths and styles. Not only do they add visual interest to a room, they will take advantage of that empty vertical space near windows or lights. Now it’s time to go plant shopping to fill those plant hangers!

LED Grow Lights

LED grow lights are essential for keeping your plants happy in dimly-lit rooms. You can drop a lot of money on nice grow lights, but it’s very possible to find affordable options on Amazon.com. My favorite so far is this one. Yes, grow lights aren’t really that glamorous to give as a gift, but any plant lover that struggles with low light issues would love to receive them.

Porcelain Tropical Leaves Watercolor Palettes

What do you get for a plant-lover that also loves to paint? These unique porcelain watercolor palettes! Choose between a Monstera leaf or banana leaf. Or buy both, because artists love their art supplies!

Botanist’s Sticker Anthology

For those who love plants and stationery (stickers, in particular), the Botanist’s Sticker Anthology is a must-have! I’ve written an entire post about this lovely sticker book, and you can check it out here and order here.

Plant-themed coloring books

Need to decompress after a stressful day? Pour yourself a glass of your favorite beverage, relax somewhere surrounded by your plants, and open up a botanical coloring book. My favorite coloring books are by Johanna Basford, but there are many other beautifully-drawn books available on Amazon.com.

Grow A Damn Plant Journal

Keeping track of your plant collection and all related tasks can be hard, but you can make it easier with the “Grow A Damn” Plant Journal by Tyler Thrasher. It’s perfect for the science-y, analytical types that like to record and observe their plants. For a deeper look inside this journal, you can check out my reviews here:

To purchase a journal, you can buy them on Tyler Thrasher’s site (2nd edition version).

Plant Propagation Stations

Inevitably, many plant lovers will want to expand their collections via propagation. The easiest method for many plants (but not all) is to take cuttings and use the water propagation method. You can use any container that holds water, but if you want a particular aesthetic, there are many stylish propagation stations available on Amazon and Etsy.

Plant Propagation Pods

Plant propagation pods are a simple but incredibly useful item, which I detail here in this article. They are best used for air-layering. For climbing aroids, these are especially helpful for propagation. I’ve found that the chances of rooting success are much higher than chopping up your plant and using the water propagation method.

Always Keep Growing,

Heather (a.k.a. The Botanical Chick)
